Celebrate Mountain Day with SCCLA at Puente Hills Landfill Park

Remember the feeling of waking up hearing the bells ringing across campus and knowing all classes were canceled?  Commemorate Mountain Day by joining the Smith College Club of Los Angeles for a refreshing hike and opportunity to learn about the innovative Puente Hills Landfill Park!

The area was given a new life after the landfill closed in 2013 after 57 years of use. What stands now is a sprawling state-of-the-art concept that prioritizes personal wellness, environmental stewardship, and the celebration of diversity found within LA County and the San Gabriel Valley.
